Head of Food and Beverage – Dreamland, Kent

The food and beverage offer is contemporary and current. It tells a story that represents the artisan street food culture across the world – great ingredients, uncomplicated menus, and a genuine, authentic experience.

We are seeking an F&B Director with unquestionable passion for delivering outstanding food and drink, and a proven track record of doing so in a high volume, seasonal and event led environment.

 

The role

  • Provide strategic leadership and delivery of a diverse and effective F&B operation across the Attraction, the events business and the seafront properties. (As well as food trucks, bars and concessions within the Estate, Dreamland also operates Cinque Ports seafront restaurant and Ziggy’s rooftop bar.)
  • To develop, design and produce innovative food offers across Dreamland, in line with consumer expectation and market trends.
  • Lead, manage and engage a large senior team, setting clear KPI’s and objectives aligned with a drive to meet and exceed sales and profit targets whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Implement robust controls, ensuring excellent standards of operation from a quality, health and safety and food safety perspective.
  • This role is broad in scope, encompassing purchasing, merchandising, marketing, leadership and menu development, alongside the delivery of a high volume food and beverage operation. It offers a high level of autonomy and a great opportunity to be part of Dreamland’s success story.

The person

  • With experience of multi-site or multi-faceted F&B operations you will have a track record of driving sales across both food and drink, as well as day and night trading periods.
  • With a broad range of events aimed at different customer profiles with different expectations, adaptability is vital to success of the operations. You will understand this environment and the challenges and opportunities that it presents.
  • You will have experience of managing high volume sales that are pre-dominantly outdoor and event driven and will have a track record of driving spend per head through product offer, service speed and style, and customer experience.
  • You’ll know the trends of the food and drink market and will understand what the consumer is looking for.
  • You’ll continually look at ways to move forward, consistently evolving the offer, the service and the efficiency of the operation.
  • Having built and engaged high performing teams around you, you’ll be an inspirational leader with infectious enthusiasm.
