My client operates a portfolio of companies, each specialising in service provision to the events industry. Operating from a Surrey/London base my client offers events bookers and planners a comprehensive set of solutions that combine to meet their needs across the spectrum of event services, including catering, AV and Production from private to corporate clients.
The culture within the business is entrepreneurial and they have achieved year on year growth by intuitively sensing shifts and trends in the market place, refining their offer or indeed building in new lines and products to capture the opportunity.
The opportunity
This is a business development director opportunity for an event sales professional currently within a sales, account management or relationship management role within the event industry. At this moment in your career, you will be looking to bring the currency of your experience to a business that knows how to motivate you through great financial reward and progressive, fast-paced business culture.
The key responsibilities within the role will conform to a usual business development director remit, you will work to clear agreed targets on new business and account management. Your focus will be on cultivating business across the group’s portfolio of companies, though if you have particular connectivity in a specific sector of events, this can be accommodated within the business with ease.
In addition to working with a portfolio of accounts and new business targets, as business development director you will have the opportunity to present ideas and businesses cases for new verticals within the event industry. This is an organisation that offers scope to run with your ideas and take some risks.
