Senior Commercial Director - International Food Festival

The Role

We are delighted to be working with an International Food Festival who are looking for a Senior Commercial Director. You would be responsible for creating and maintaining key commercial relationships, and meeting commercial revenue targets working across their festivals in the UK and across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize sales by creating new relationships, consistently identifying target brands and generating face-to-face meetings.
  • Create and drive the strategy for all commercial revenues to ensure targets across the portfolio are achieved/exceeded.
  • Work closely with Global Marketing Director & Event Teams to ensure commercial partnerships are developed with a consumer first mind-set, keep in line with event content and all teams understand the partner objectives and how these align with the event.
  • Create, improve and deliver sponsorship presentations using existing templates.
  • Perform contractual negotiations with clients through to signature.
  • Manage the renewal of existing sponsorships.
  • Ensure that all pipeline and deals are reported and up to date on the CRM system working closely with sales operations.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of competitor events and relevant sponsorships.


The Candidate
  • Established experience in sales / events / sponsorship / sales team management.
  • A proven track record in delivering high value sponsorship deals and generating commercial revenue.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of brands and how they invest in sponsorship.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the start-to-end sales process.
  • A black book of current up to date brand relationships and knowledge of trends.
  • Experience of face-to-face meetings, presentation creation and proposal writing.
  • Knowledge of lifestyle and entertainment brand landscape.
  • A strong proven leadership abilities both commercial and soft skills are required.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • An understanding of digital media and how it can be commercialised.
  • Experience working across multiple properties.
  • Some knowledge of culinary world / industry ideally but not essential.
