The Role
The Cornish Bakery has a strong market position with prime locations, quality product, and a passionate team. Its ambitious growth plan will be realised through new bakery openings, innovation and online sales.

As Finance Director, you will report to the Founder, and will lead all financial operations.

Through the implementation of clear policies and procedures, you will ensure the delivery of the highest standards of financial management and performance across the organisation.

Additionally, you will oversee property, IT, all commercial contracts and help with strategy.


Person Spec

You will currently be in a Finance Director or Head of Finance role with comparable responsibility and with relevant recognised qualifications.

This is an entrepreneurial, growing business and experience of working in this environment will be an advantage but is not essential.

What is essential is an understanding of hospitality, of the marketplace and of the customer. You will be a rounded commercial business leader, with the creditability and confidence to both support and challenge the Founder and to engage across all levels and functions.

You’ll be forward thinking, ambitious and pro-active – planning ahead and finding opportunities for growth.

A great communicator, and a natural leader with an inclusive style, you will build great relationships both internally and externally.

You’ll develop and advise on a robust financial strategy, but will naturally flex into a more hands on role as the business needs in order to support and engage the team from the ground up.

You will have a strong connection with the brand purpose and core values. This will be clear in your approach to the role.

The Head Office location is in Bath and travel to this location will be necessary each week.


An attractive remuneration package is available depending on experience.
