The Company:

A progressive organisation with a market leading brand with strong national scalability potential. Seeking a Head of Operations to lead this growth, working with the existing founders and alongside the investors. The business is just about to secure further investment so you will joining at the perfect time to move the business forward.

Up to this point, the business has a very northern centric operation, they have secured 1 new opening and are looking for further new sites across the country. The head office however is in the NW, so it is preferred that you will be commutable from there.

A well established and stable company that have confidence in their concept but are at a stage where they will really benefit from a senior executive who has exposure to building an infrastructure accompanied with the processes and systems to build a brand.

The Role:

The Head of Operations will be responsible and accountable for driving sales, optimising EBITDA and the general day to day running of the restaurants. The business has real personality so it will be your responsibility to ensure that you have the right systems and processes in place without affecting the real vibe that this brand creates.

The person is a role model for the business and be accountable for:

  • Driving, monitoring and analysing sales performance and profitability, delivering and exceeding growth and annual targets
  • Supporting and engage with other key people in the business to ensure that the day-to-day running of the business is correctly managed, organised and structured to meet the business plan and objectives
  • Ensure premium product quality and outstanding customer experience is at the top of everyone’s agenda.
  • Become a role model for all Operations Managers and General Managers, we are looking for a leader to inspire and motivate high performance.
  • Develop and implement easy to use systems and processes to support our operating standards being delivered.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have exposure to running and developing a quality restaurant operation. You must be able to hit the ground running and adapt to the culture of the business quickly. This is an entrepreneurial business with a team who require leadership and structure in order to maximise the business potential.

The key competences are:

  • Experienced with a proven track record in multi-site management at this level
  • You will be responsible for 2 Operations Managers so exposure to managing that this level is preferred.
  • Exceptional people and motivational skills
  • Good marketing and branding experience
  • Have a knowledge of industry trends and understand the demands of the casual dining market
  • Financially astute
  • Entrepreneurial flair and the capacity to drive and deliver new ideas
  • The ability to handle a complex and multi-faceted role
