THE COMPANY

This is a really exciting opportunity for to become the People Director for a fast growing and hugely dynamic restaurant group.     It is a newly created position and a chance to lead the entire people strategy across a business who really value the contribution that the people department has to the success of the business.

THE ROLE

A Board level position, as People Director you will be responsible for driving the people agenda and everything connected to the team.   You will lead culture and engagement, the recruitment and attraction strategy, your employee brand and voice in the market place, through to talent mapping and succession planning and the development of all employees at every level.

As one of the fastest growing restaurant businesses in the industry, the success of new openings is critical and your part to play in that is key. You will lead the induction and training plans, stay close to the new openings to ensure service is consistent, friendly and flawless whilst ensuring the management teams are well equipped to continue to train and lead brand standards.

The ability to work cross functionally, to influence and engage all in the HR strategy is critical as is the ability to inspire, support and develop the HR and Training team. As People Director, you will be the guardian of culture and service proposition and must be relentless in bringing this to life in every restaurant across the country.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful People Director must be accomplished at this level and have a successful track record of leading a people strategy. The ideal candidate will have come from a business in growth and understand the operational people challenges and opportunities and able to build a plan and vision that will respond to this.

You must have a proven HR specialist and be able to multi-task to work in a fast paced environment.

The key qualities that that a successful candidate will own are:

  • Vision to appraise and instigate a strategic approach to the HR and field based training teams
  • Capacity to forward think and evolve the business strategy as the employment/trading environment changes.
  • An appetite for constant change, and an understanding of the support an organisation needs to deliver change.
  • A desire to set the cultural agenda around quality of working life to make Zizzi a best in class employer.
  • A hands on approach to the development programmes within the business.
  • Shoulder to shoulder support to the operational teams
  • Emotionally resilient and able to accommodate all views in a fast paced VC environment.
