A dynamic fast casual brand that is private equity backed and have just had a recent injection of new funding. As a result, the business is well placed for growth and is subsequently looking for an Operations Director to assist with that.


Our client are really focused on the quality of the product, their food is produced on site and with tender loving care and executed operationally with skill and attention to detail.


Culturally they are a people driven business where they have built real loyalty and trust amongst their team but as many London operators, are faced with a challenges around retention and a transient work force. This therefore dictated they are


The Role:


This is a Board level position and the Operations Director will effectively take operational ownership for the brand in its entirety, working alongside the MD to grow the brand nationally.


It will be your role to ensure the right systems and processes are in place to ensure that the business gets it right every time in a volume environment but also prepare it for scalability.


You will be responsible for improving quality & consistency, increasing productivity, developing the customer base and maintaining and increasing profitability across all areas of the business.


You will be responsible for a team of Operations Managers and a team of GM’s with mixed capabilities and a good balance of internal promotion and external appointments. Succession planning is important for growth so experience in spotting talent and developing key people would be essential in this role.



The Candidate


The successful candidate will have exposure to running and developing a similar business and ideally have had some exposure to the fast casual or quick service environment.   You must be comfortable with the pace this industry dictates and able to think fast on your feet and be nimble to capture commercial opportunities.

Must be comfortable getting close to the business, able to adopt a ‘hand on’ approach and not reliant on the corporate cushion that you may have access to right now. You must equally be able to be strategic, contribute to brand plan and get the teams around you to buy into these plans.
