This is an exciting opportunity for a Group Executive Chef to be the driving force behind the culinary strategy of this dynamic and growing business. As the food expert, it will be your responsibility to lead a team of Regional Exec Chefs to translate that vision into fantastic execution every time.

The opportunity:

The role of the Group Exec Chef / Head of Food to ensure consistency and a product that is on trend and appropriate to the target audience.

 

  • The Head of Food will be able to build people capability and ensure outstanding standards to sustain business success and optimise financial performance across the company.
  • Lead the back of house team ensuring that you are a role model with the ability to engage teams at every level; create energy around goals, plans and values ensuring there is alignment across the organisation.
  • Lead effective communication, coaching and support of the team, ensuring they are motivated, listened to, supported and set up for success.
  • Must have an inclusive and visible management style and a sense of humour!
  • Set clear, challenging and realistic goals for areas under your control; agree objectives and undertake regular and robust appraisals with direct reports

The candidate:

The key attributes for the Head of Food

  • You will current be proven at this level and have a track record of leading the food strategy of a business.
  • You will demonstrate significant business and commercial aptitude, and be able to contribute at executive team level
  • You will be as comfortable defining and shaping strategic plans as leading their execution through teams with the ability to create and articulate visions and strategy
  • You must be a passionate foodie and be able to articulate that along with a genuine caring about delivering outstanding food all of the time.
  • You will importantly know what is current, up to date and on trend in the food industry.
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to be able to work with diverse teams and individuals throughout the organisation
  • The cultural fit is one of the most important elements to finding the right candidate where team engagement is of utmost importance
