The Company

This is an exciting opportunity to become the Head of People for a fast-growing restaurant brand. The future growth plan is projected at 10 new UK sites per year and an ambition to take the brand into Europe. The business is looking at several commercial opportunities and are in talks with a number of business partners as well as exploring licencing opportunities.

The brand is an incredibly respected, robust and well-structured business that will only continue to go from strength to strength. The company is looking for a Head of People at this exciting stage of their evolution and someone with the breadth and agility to potentially become the future People Director for the next phase of growth.

The Role

The company is looking for an individual who will work across the business to land and embed the culture of the brand through effective communication, talent engagement, robust training and developing industry leading practices. The Head of People is the guardian of the culture and must be relentless in bringing this to life in every business across the country.

  • You will own the people strategy and all things HR.
  • You will lead a team of 5 who sit across recruitment, training, new store openings and the office/administrator.
  • Support the CEO and COO in identifying the talent within and those rising stars who are set for internal succession, as well as work alongside the new openings teams to ensure the talent pipeline is on target.
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand, attending relevant industry events and help to drive positive PR & publicity.

The Candidate

The successful Head of People will need to have a demonstrable track record of leading a people strategy at this level. The ideal candidate will preferably come from a credible, fast paced hospitality or food retail brand known for its strong people culture. They will be comfortable setting a new people agenda with solid recruitment and training to create the culture and rolling it out across a business.

You will have a strong knowledge of the market and a good operational understanding of a business in order to deliver a strategy that is aligned to positive output. You will also be able to bring structure, systems and rigour to a rapidly growing environment that lay the foundations for growth and future-proof the business.

  • Track record of success gained within an autonomous role as you will be the lead HR expert where people will seek your counsel.
  • Proven evidence of driving an incredible people-centric culture across all areas of the business, ensuring high standards and processes are consistent and effective in putting the people culture first. Evidence of this through industry award wins a benefit.
  • Experience in creating and driving a diverse, equal and inclusive organisation.
  • A talented leader who can motivate, inspire, develop and retain great people.
  • Highly organised and a meticulous planner. Able to work independently and without a large resource network.
  • Proactive and practical with a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable but still eager to learn.



I started my career working for a catering company at The NEC and was instantly hooked to the world of hospitality. Since then, I have worked in bars, different venues, and run events around the world. My favourite thing about my career are the people I’ve met along the way so far, so moving into recruitment felt like a natural step for me.
