Troika are delighted to be partnering again with The University of Surrey School of Hospitality and Tourism Management to support their final year students in securing mentors to work with them as they prepare join the industry and begin their careers.
Each year, we reach out to people within our network that we think would be able to provide guidance, inspiration and insight through mentorship, and have been delighted by the levels of support the programme has attracted.
To help qualify your interest in becoming a 2018 mentor;
The mentor programme runs from early February – June 2018 with a launch event taking place on 29th January.
- As a mentor, you will be required to have at least 3 x face to face meetings with your mentee (if UK-based).
- Mentors should be have at least 5 years industry experience post-graduation
- Mentors and mentees are carefully matched by the university based on mentees career aspirations. On that basis, there may be occasions where there isn’t a suitable mentee to assign but the University will keep you posted once you have expressed interest.
The feedback we get each year from the mentors we introduce is incredibly positive and many have gone on to opt in year after year. If you think this is something you might be interested in taking part in then please email Kerstine Lawley (Teaching Fellow Events, Hospitality and Tourism) at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
