This brilliant brand, was born in lockdown 2020, and was an instant hit, and from a local home delivery has grown into a thriving business.
Having secured investment, this business has now grown from 1 to 12 stores and has incredibly ambitious plans for growth. The customer demand for the product is matched by the outstanding early-stage financial performance and as such, the business is confident about its future.
One of the biggest challenges in scaling the business is building incredible teams and setting a strong culture. A key hire in this journey is the appointment of a Finance Director, a self-motivated expert that can work within a start-up environment, creating a robust finance strategy fit for scale. This person must be able to be hands-on enough to set things during these early stages of rapid growth but with the strategic stretch to take the brand globally.
The Role
This emerging brand needs an experienced, hands on yet forward-thinking Finance Director who can get behind the managing the detail and financial structure of the business. You will be a valued member of the leadership team and your financial support will be the backbone behind the continued success of the brand, with immediate short term wins but you’ll also be an integral part of shaping the future.
The Finance Director will take ownership for the finance and accounting strategy, produce Board reports, and contribute fully to the development and delivery of the company strategy across all areas of the business, providing financial analysis and guidance on all business activities, plans, budgets and key business drivers.
You will take ultimate responsibility for the company cash flow forecast and the delivery of those plans and set, manage and report company/departmental performance against targets/budgets. Support setting KPIs which are measured and reported.
The Candidate
We are looking for experience yet someone with the ability to be nimble and proactive in the current market, able to realign, remodel and move forward a robust structure in response to our ever-changing industry. You must have strong business acumen, be commercially astute and insightful.
This is far from a pure technical Finance Director we are looking for a natural leader who is able to work with a fun and dynamic leadership team and contribute at both strategic and operationally to take this incredible business to the next level.
