The Company

We are working with a VERY cool hospitality brand who are opening up a snazzy new, F&B-led private members club & flexi space so we’re on the look out for a General Manager to open the Club and run it! (we will explore opening specialists though!)

Alongside the usuals (below), personality is HUGE for this appointment. We’re not looking for a carbon copy GM from another members club. Yes, you may come from one – and a good one at that – but it’s not about cut and pasting what you did there. It’s about creating something special in its own right. 

The Club is slap bang in the West End, opens in 2022 and is stunning, it just needs someone special to build the finest of all teams and run it. SO if you come from a lifestyle hospitality brand, have opening experience and are curious to hear more, do get in touch. 

The Role

Pre Opening

  • Recruitment of pre-opening leadership team
  • Pre-opening co-ordination and management of process
  • Responsible for setting up SOPs and standards for opening
  • Owns and manages the relationship with the Owner
  • Is directly responsible for the sales and revenue management strategy and Club performance
  • Manages the operations of the Club in order to maximise profitability and to ensure superior member experience 
  • Manages performance issues that arise within the operational departments, as well as recruits, trains and develops the pre-opening team
  • Full project management of all aspects of opening


Post Opening

  • Day to day running of the business
  • Full responsibility for budget, P&L, forecasting and creating business plan and growth strategy
  • Team development, succession planning and staff retention
  • Lead management team to achieve overall property targets

I’ve had a pretty colourful career pre-Troika – I’ve been a bell boy, a waiter, sold Faberge Eggs and electricity door-to-door, ran an Irish Pub in Uganda, a busy events department in Covent Garden, designed stands for a TV Festival, helped open a members club and ran a little events business of my own.
