Global Director of Marketing

Independently owned and founder-led, this dynamic hospitality brand is headquartered in London and scaling internationally across multiple cities in North America and the Middle East. 

The Role

Reporting to the board of directors, the role of the Director of Marketing is to lead all global marketing activities from social media and digital campaigns to advertising and creative projects, whilst ensuring that they are operating in line with the Company’s overall strategy and culture. 

Responsible for setting and managing budgets in line with the company’s business plan and reviewing department performance regularly to report at Board level, the Marketing Director will be required to have a marketing plan in place to ensure that the Company can achieve its sales targets and deliver on their growth plan. 

Responsible for the effective running of the marketing department as well as developing, implementing, and evaluating the marketing strategy. The marketing strategy will be focused on developing brand awareness across the globe. 

The key objective of this role is supporting the future growth of the business, ensuring the brand is at the forefront of innovative and exciting Marketing.

The role also requires supporting operations to market sales drive activities, promote and build customer loyalty, all in line with the departmental business plan, to agree budgets, and the company’s corporate guidelines, and service concepts.

The need to support the international businesses to develop a simplified and easy to implement countries / state specific marketing plan and monitor and coach where necessary to ensure effective implementation according to our brand guidelines. 

This role will report into the Founder and will work closely with the Global Head of Operations.

The Candidate

• Experience working as a Head of Marketing or Marketing Director within hospitality with a multi-site business. 
• Ability to manage a small to medium sized team.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Proven UK and global Marketing experience to senior level is required
• Experience in the hospitality sector (preferred) and/or high-end retail brands is required
• Some exposure to and understanding of international franchise arrangements is highly desirable 
• A qualification in Marketing is desirable
• Proven effective risk, budget and project management
• An entrepreneurial approach
• Can evidence successful marketing initiatives with creative production houses, direct marketing, PR agencies and events
• Established network within the hospitality industry (corporate, theatre, concierge, association etc.)
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Leads by example to promote a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity and superior performance standards.
• Ability to handle difficult situations successfully
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proven leadership and management skills
