The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing premium global restaurant group as their most senior financial lead, reporting into the senior leadership team, parent company and investor stakeholders.

Responsible for the effective running of the finance department as well as reporting, tracking, and analysing financial performance and supporting the future growth of the business. This role will report into the Finance Director and Global Head of Operations whilst working closely with the Founders and Investors.

Role responsibilities 

  • Overseeing outsourced accounts function and its output both nationally and internationally
  • CAPEX modelling to improve accuracy of ROI and to make more informed investment decisions, planning and appraisal
  • Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts, weekly analytics and statutory accounts working with the external accountants
  • Assess opportunities to maximise sales and profitability across multiple sites, utilising both financial and non-financial data 
  • Implementing and improving controls and processes, as well as automation to increase efficiencies 
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work to support business planning and decision making

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE in a commercial (and preferably global) hospitality business at a senior level is required
  • Experience in and understanding of international financial systems and dealing with multicurrency (ideally the US and/or the Middle East) is required
  • Franchising experience is also desirable
  • Experience in an SME, ideally in high growth
  • Willingness to be hands on and get into the detail, proactive problem solver 
  • Experienced in preparing and managing cash flow and CAPEX modelling
  • Team Player, someone who can work well with the members of the finance team and the business
  • Experience in leading the finance function in multi-site hospitality businesses and an understanding of how to work closely with site operators to optimise commercial performance
