The Company

This company is on a mission to feed the UK’s spirit through the magical medium of chicken. Recently rebranded and with big investors supporting their growth, this brand is already opening new sites and expanding exponentially in the UK, as well as into Europe in the next few years. They are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of IT who wants to work for a fast growing, dynamic hospitality brand which is constantly exploring new opportunities for excellence.

The Role

This is a vital role in the company’s strategy for growth and will be intrinsically linked to all the other departments of the business. The Head of IT must understand the commercial business strategy and ensure that systems development is aligned to meet the commercial needs.

  • Work with appropriate internal and external project partners to identify and coordinate new system developments as well as enhancements to current systems.
  • Work like an entrepreneur; proactive, commercial and tenacious in living and breathing our business and its values
  • Understand key business areas such as:

– Online selling (web shop, mobile app, online payments)

– Marketplaces

– Product management and merchandising

– In-store (POS systems, assisted sales, scan & go)

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will come from a Retail or Hospitality background, having implemented new systems and structure in a growing company. Your key strengths will be in leading large-scale technical strategy, design, planning and delivery, driving best practices and ensuring company-wide buy in.

  • Strong commercial edge and demonstrable experience of leading and engaging a team are a must.
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge and experience, with the ability to step into and support all areas of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • The ability to operate independently against prioritised requirements whilst supporting other people within their team.
  • Someone who can work well under pressure in a calm manner, and doesn’t get distracted from the end goal.



I started my career working for a catering company at The NEC and was instantly hooked to the world of hospitality. Since then, I have worked in bars, different venues, and run events around the world. My favourite thing about my career are the people I’ve met along the way so far, so moving into recruitment felt like a natural step for me.
