The Company

This is a really exciting opportunity to become the Head of People for a fast growing and hugely dynamic bar group. The brand is fun, ambitiously forward thinking, and has a good reputation in the marketplace. They have a strong people culture and want to enhance this even further with the appointment of a Head of People.

The Role

The Head of People role is all-encompassing, reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Sales Director, Finance Director and Head of Operations. As a new role in the business, this is an amazing opportunity to join at a time where you will be responsible for creating the overall strategy; leading and developing the culture, training and values of the business. The business is already people-focused but is looking to bring in new ideas to assist with the upcoming growth phases they are entering.

The Candidate

The successful Head of People will need to have a demonstrable track record of leading a people strategy at this level. The ideal candidate will preferably come from a credible brand known for its strong people culture. They will be comfortable setting a new people agenda with solid recruitment and training to create the culture, and roll it out across a business. 

You must be a proven HR specialist and a good all-rounder, ideally with exposure to L&D, recruitment and ER. However, this could be a first time Head of People appointment if you are a proven HRBP and feel ready for the next level.

I started my career working for a catering company at The NEC and was instantly hooked to the world of hospitality. Since then, I have worked in bars, different venues, and run events around the world. My favourite thing about my career are the people I’ve met along the way so far, so moving into recruitment felt like a natural step for me.
