The Company

Having recovered strongly from the Covid related challenges of the past twelve months, this premium food brand has just launched its 10th restaurant in central London. Private Equity backed and led by industry royalty, its next new opening will be later this year and lots of expansion plans into the coming year. The CEO Is now looking to partner with a Head of People or People Director who can harness a uniquely strong culture to develop and drive a people strategy which will support this brands ambitious growth plans.

The Role

  • Alongside the CEO, define and drive a people strategy aligned with the brands purpose and vision to support the ambitious growth plans.
  • Bring the culture and values to life, by ensuring that all the people practices are fully aligned and executed to attract, reward and retain the best people.
  • Enable this brand to be recognised as an employer of choice and a great place to work by driving attraction, retention and performance, through creating a great engaging workplace where employees feel trusted and valued.  
  • Redefine employer marketing and recruitment processes to attract top calibre individuals to fill the required growth hires over the next 3 years.
  • Lead senior level decision-making for day-to-day people management matters, as well as the strategic people direction of the organisation.
  • As a key member of the Leadership Team, influence and act as a culture catalyst, orchestrating investment into People centric initiatives.
  • Support the next phase of growth by creating and embedding robust HR processes and systems to allow the business to successfully scale.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and development and embrace staff individuality.
  • Define and deliver training and development plans for all roles within the organisation with a focus on succession planning.

The Candidate

  • You are an HR generalist who has developed your experience in the consumer service industries
  • You have experience of scaling a hospitality experience would be highly desirable.
  • You will be comfortable with both operational and strategic HR leadership and someone who wants to work at the true heart of the commercial agenda.
  • Degree and CIPD qualified, energetic and grounded, you will have a broad range of HR experience, working closely with senior leaders.
  • Expertise in talent, ideally gained in a fast growth customer centric business.
  • Ability to move at pace in a fast growth environment.
  • A goal orientated individual who is highly organised with a robust focus on delivery.
  • High levels of authenticity and integrity.
  • A result orientated and hands on Leader with a proven track record of successful and effective implementation of People strategies including experience of business transformation.
  • Experienced in and passionate about learning and development with a proven track record in creating a high performing culture.


Account Director

After toying with becoming an actress, I found my home in hospitality around 22 years ago. I worked as an operator with Tootsies in London. I fell into hospitality recruitment working across branded restaurants, before heading up 5 national recruitment offices.

After a 2 year stint in executive search, I went in-house leading recruitment and development functions within Giraffe, LEON and most recently Gail’s.
