The Company

This dynamic emerging business, initially operated a traditional retail business with physical stores in high footfall Central London tourist and leisure focused locations, such as, the London Eye, Southbank, Selfridges, Soho, Westfield London and Shoreditch. 

Their approach to retail was always unique and different, and during COVID they adapted all of their same principles to the online food delivery space, and having been hugely successful has allowed them to develop innovative products and high performance systems, meaning they can build real versatility and scale into their products  

All of the brands in the expanding portfolio are well known; cited for quality, desirability, authenticity and uniqueness.

The Role

The approach for the next phase of growth is to take high quality, well-known restaurants and brands to new neighbourhoods, building micro-cloud kitchens, precisely located in the heart of dense, affluent areas, and operating a vertically integrated business model which delivers generous and consistent value for all process stakeholders; customer + brand + delivery platform + operator.  

The Candidate

All of the foundations of this model have been built in terms of process, systems and structures to achieve success with virtually any added concept. The plan is to continue acquiring additional ‘cold’ food concepts, whilst also moving into the ‘hot’ food space.  

We are looking for a Managing Director who can structure and lead the ongoing growth of both retail and delivery kitchens. The Managing Director will align new brands and offers, with the company portfolio and bring good knowledge of driving retail operations, delivery and online brands.

To be considered for this role you should be a hands-on proven Operations Director or Managing Director, having worked within a scaling business with divided revenue streams between both traditional; retail and online/delivery kitchens. You should also have had previous experience of overseeing both operations and central support functions and be equally comfortable setting strategy as you are rolling your sleeves up and getting close to the action. This is a really fun, entrepreneurial and energetic environment, with huge potential for growth.

After toying with becoming an actress, I found my home in hospitality around 22 years ago. I worked as an operator with Tootsies in London. I fell into hospitality recruitment working across branded restaurants, before heading up 5 national recruitment offices.

After a 2 year stint in executive search, I went in-house leading recruitment and development functions within Giraffe, LEON and most recently Gail’s.
