Founded in 2005 after falling in love with the food of this beautiful region of the world, this husband and wife team have led and scaled this unique, aspirational restaurant brand, and17 years later, they have a group of restaurants dotted around the country, serving great value, healthy food that’s cooked fresh in each kitchen daily. They pride themselves on not being a corporate chain, they are a family-run business, and want this to shine through in everything they do – from the food they cook, to the teams they employ and train, to the way they greet and engage with all their customers.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the leadership team, the Director of Marketing will lead all marketing activities from social media and digital campaigns to advertising and creative projects, ensuring that they are operating in line with the Company’s overall strategy and culture.

Whilst it’s important to have a clear strategy for the marketing function, they operate in a very non -corporate way, and don’t take themselves too seriously, so the chosen candidate should reflect this at every turn. With big expansion plans in new cities, you will be driving awareness to new audiences and building upon their already strong online community – something that is central to the brand.

The Candidate

We’re looking for someone with an intense passion for the food industry and with a panoramic view of the digital and commercial landscape. We’re looking for the person who can elevate this brand and consistently drives sales as they grow.

Experience and traits:

  • Experience of working as a Head of Marketing or Marketing Director – ideally hospitality but could be lifestyle, retail or food brands.
  • Multi-Site business
  • Leadership of a team and within an Exec Team
  • Approachable at all times
  • Non corporate, humble, with a strong sense of fun
  • High operational standards and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing at all levels
  • Resilient and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic and Methodical thinker and well organised
  • Methodical and thorough when problem solving
  • Self-motivated to complete all aspects of the role and learn new ways of operating

Account Director

After toying with becoming an actress, I found my home in hospitality around 22 years ago. I worked as an operator with Tootsies in London. I fell into hospitality recruitment working across branded restaurants, before heading up 5 national recruitment offices.

After a 2 year stint in executive search, I went in-house leading recruitment and development functions within Giraffe, LEON and most recently Gail’s.
