The Company

We are delighted to be able to offer this fantastic opportunity to fast-track General Managers of the future in one of the top companies in the Gaming sector. My client is well-financed and scores highly on employee surveys, with excellent packages and benefits on offer too.

There’s a reason that so many people join the sector and remain until retirement; the training and support enables progression through the business into larger venues and further senior roles. My client is proud to offer employees an excellent salary and eligibility to receive the company bonus and tips, as well as an extensive range of benefits not often seen at the General Manager level.

The Role

Casinos are often overlooked by Managers in the hospitality industry due to the assumption it’s a role which would require too many unsociable hours. However, the 40-hour working week is far less than the average General Manager hours, with big teams surrounding you to ensure good work/life balance.

We are looking for experienced Managers to join the operating function of the business as General Manager Designates. You will undertake an intensive, one of a kind training program, gaining invaluable experience in people management and gaming knowledge through experiential placements across the company. A vast, all-encompassing training program such as this is not offered in other sectors, and the skills and knowledge you come out with is transferable to your future career.

About You

Given the nature of the industry, team management is at the forefront of the General Manager role. We are looking for candidates who are already experienced managers who enjoy creating a positive work environment where the wider team is supported, mentored and ultimately enjoy coming to work every day.

  • Previous experience in all areas of Management, including People Management, Financials and Business Development
  • Ability and mind set to gain strong maths skills to understand how bets are calculated
  • Previous relevant experience in working in a similar multi-site industry e.g. late night F & B/ hospitality, hotels, retail and leisure businesses
  • A genuine interest, enthusiasm and desire to learn about the gaming industry
  • Happy to working shifts which involve nights and weekends on a rota basis
  • A passion for creating a culture of outstanding customer service
  • Flexibility and desire to train and work in various locations across the UK.

Package & Benefits

My client is proud to provide a positive and fun environment to work in and a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. The Designate General Manager salary starts from £60,000 upwards, with a generous increase when you’re placed in your first site.

  • Typical benefits include:
  • Group Life assurance
  • Income protection
  • Pension – 5% Employee contributions, 4% Employer contributions
  • Bonus potential – 10% of salary
  • Tips potential – when appointed to a Casino in a set club location, you will be eligible to receive tips
  • Online benefits platform
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • A fun & sociable working environment; team incentives, social fund, Christmas party, employee recognition schemes, summer family event, Croupier of the Year competition, and many more.

Consultant

I started my career working for a catering company at The NEC and was instantly hooked to the world of hospitality. Since then, I have worked in bars, different venues, and run events around the world. My favourite thing about my career are the people I’ve met along the way so far, so moving into recruitment felt like a natural step for me.
