The Venue

This creative and stylish new kid on the block was launched in early 2022, and is creating a buzz in the hotel and private members club world. They are looking for a current and connected Director of Sales to drive the business forward through inventive strategies and collaborative team management, always with a focus on high quality customer service.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will lead on the strategy for new revenue streams whilst sustaining and growing the existing portfolio by maintaining close relationships with valuable guests and agents.

  • Develop annual sales and marketing strategies for rooms (revenue and occupancy growth), membership (membership attraction, conversion and retention), F&B (cover growth and sales in the various outlets) and events (revenue).
  • Participate in monthly P+L meetings and to generate a monthly summary report on the financial performance for Rooms, F&B, Membership and Events against budget, forecast, LY (when applicable) and the external market
  • Manage and inspire a team across the Events, Membership, Revenue and Reservations Departments

The Candidate

You will preferably have a luxury hospitality background with extensive experience in managing a successful sales and marketing team as well as creating and overseeing strategies and budgets. You will also be well networked internationally with a focus on the creative markets such as film, art, music and fashion. You will thoroughly understand how to read and understand market trends nationally and internationally that would affect sales performance, ready to react accordingly.

  • You will be comfortable developing relationships with guests, members, and relevant stakeholders, travel agents, collaborators, concierge companies, corporate clients, social clients and end users/guests globally
  • You will thrive in trade environments where you will represent the business at appropriate sales trips and networking events
  • A team leader, you will embody the spirit, ethos and integrity of brand while promoting teamwork and quality service through your daily communications and collaborations with other teams.
  • To mentor and develop the Sales Team, nurturing talent and developing an effective succession planning system.
