The role

The primary objective of this role is to plan, facilitate and implement a catering operation that delivers a premium supporter experience on both match and event days, alongside ensuring operational quality and excellence is maintained.

You will lead and develop a large team of direct reports, and through this team will manage up to 600 temporary employees on event days.

 You will manage a high number of third-party relationships and partnerships.

 Innovation is key to success in this role, and as such you will continually enhance both product and service.

Through an in depth understanding of market trends and customer behaviours the Head of Public Operations will identify commercial opportunities, and will consistently drive revenue.

The implementation of robust procedures and controls will ensure consistency across all parts of the operation and will deliver strong profitability.

 

You will ensure full adherence to Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation.

 

The person

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast paced, high volume retail environment such as stadium, arena, or high street chain.

You will have worked in a similarly complex structure, and will have successfully built and managed great internal and external relationships and partnerships.

Project Management experience will be vital to success in this role, and you will demonstrate great planning skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

You’ll have the discipline and flexibility to produce excellent standards of individual work, and to be a strong and impactful team player.

You’ll be an inspirational leader, with a successful track record of building high performing, engaged teams. You’ll have a robust people plan and be dedicated to ensuring that your team are trained, prepared, and capable of being the best they can be.

You’ll be commercially astute, and will translate your desire to achieve results into a compelling vision to which your people are aligned.

Willingness to work flexibly, including outside of normal working hours is essential as this is not a Monday – Friday operation.
