The Role

We are recruiting for a Head of Hospitality Operations to deliver the match day operations at Lord’s Cricket Ground across their five restaurants, four debenture venues, seventy corporate/private boxes and five hospitality facilities.

 

2019 is a sensational year for cricket at Lord’s. Highlights include the first ever test series with Ireland, the Ashes returning to home soil (fingers crossed) and five ICC Cricket World Cup matches, so we are looking for an inspirational and people focused leader, who is calm under pressure and ready to hit the ground running!

 

The Candidate

 

Lord’s cater for up to 4,000 covers on a busy match day so the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-end and high volume, sporting or leisure hospitality.

 

You must be a strong communicator and someone that brings people and teams together. Mentoring and developing your team is key to this role.

 

You’ll also have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver all operations within agreed monthly forecast and budgets, particularly labour costs is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing MCC’s Hospitality Operations teams.
  •  Running the entire operation surrounding hospitality, comprising five restaurants, four debenture venues, seventy corporate and private boxes and five hospitality facilities.
  • Delivering business day to day both operationally and financially.
  • Leading the delivery team on innovative hospitality packages within the boxes and restaurants, to predefined budgets.
  • Training and mentoring the operations team on service standards, management skills and commercial awareness, in conjunction with Catering Staffing Manager.
  • Reviewing and bench marking across sports hospitality to continually improve the customer experience at Lord’s.
