The Individual
  • With excellent sales and negotiation skills, as such you will have the ability to impress clients, write compelling proposal documents and deliver creative presentations
  • Experience in the contract catering sector is essential, preferably in sales/business development or in operations management with experience of the tender process
  • Well-organised, hardworking and resourceful, you’ll love being on the go and ‘making things happen’
  • You will have a passion for great food and service – you will absolutely know ‘what good looks like’ in a hospitality setting and be able to bring this to life in documents and presentations
  • With a positive outlook, you’ll thrive under pressure and bring a high level of initiative, creativity and problem solving skills
  • Candidates must be able to commute regularly to the clients’ south Oxfordshire office
The Role
The client is looking to further strengthen their sales team – this is a new role joining an already well-established specialist team of experienced sellers and operators.
As Sales Manager you will drive measurable market penetration, sales and profit growth for this growing contract caterer within the corporate, education and care sectors, whilst maintaining exceptional client relationships with both existing and new customer bases.
  • You will identify key opportunities in their relevant contract catering services marketplace, progress service and product development and innovation and develop key partnerships
  • You will develop exciting, winning bid strategies by managing first-hand the entire sales process
  • You will also be expected to manage the preparation of competitive tender finances
  • This role is highly proactive – your focus will be on building a substantial pipeline for new business, growing meaningful client relationships as well as the successful retention of current contracts.
